The Cumberland are pleased to offer a wide range of market leading Holiday Let mortgage products. We are experts in the Holiday Let market with over 30 years’ experience of lending into the sector.

We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with the intermediaries who choose to work with us. We offer a single point of contact along with an efficient service to help you deliver a mortgage product to suit the needs of your client.

Our underwriting is manual, meaning we are adept in handling complex and unusual cases. We consider cases that many other lenders don't, including multiple letting units on one title, properties across split titles, limited companies and more.

  • We provide lending for Holiday Let properties of traditional construction on mainland UK (including the isles of Anglesey, Arran, Isle of Wight and Isles of Mull, Skye & Harris).
  • We offer mortgages up to 75% LTV.

If your client’s application falls outside the above criteria, our Commercial Team may still be able to assist and can consider more non-standard case such as -

  • Property occupancy restrictions
  • More than 12 acres of land
  • 4 or more letting units on the title/estate
  • Where there is a commercial element with shared facilities (swimming pool, play barn, shop)
  • Property Class C1/Sui Generis
