Paym Announcement

The Paym service has announced it’ll be closing in 2023, which means our Pay2Mobile functionality will be withdrawn from Tuesday 17 January.

From the date the service ends you'll no longer be able to make payments from or receive payments to your Cumberland current account using Paym. We will be contacting those customers impacted by this change directly.

You don't need to do anything when we leave the Paym service. You'll be automatically de-registered if you were signed up to it.

If someone tries to send you money after we have ended the service, Paym will send you a text message. No money will leave that person's account. You should contact the person trying to pay you to find a different way for them to send you money.

Money sent through Paym uses the Faster Payments service. You can still make these payments using our internet banking service, our mobile app, Open Banking or by using a branch. Please note, there are limits on how much you can send each day through these methods.
