A simple sign up process with Xero provides the authority for The Cumberland to send business banking and business savings account transaction information direct, every working day. Businesses can also provide their accountant or bookkeeper with access to financial information via the online interface, allowing them to work together with their accountants to closely manage financial performance

The Cumberland has integrated with Xero Accounting Software to help you manage your accounts. If you have a Cumberland Business current account you can sign up for the Xero direct bank feed and have your transactions sent automatically to your Xero account, every working day. This will give you an up to date view of your financial position and save you time reconciling your accounts.

How secure are Xero direct bank feeds?
Your data is sent using an encrypted connection directly between the Cumberland and Xero. No other third parties are involved.

Which Cumberland accounts can I include in the direct bank feed?
Cumberland business current accounts and business savings accounts can be sent in the direct bank feed.

What are the fees?
Unlike some other banks, the Cumberland doesn’t charge you for using this service. You may have to pay subscription fees to Xero.

How do I start using the direct bank feed?
Setting up is simple – just visit the XERO website

Once I’ve applied, how long before I start to receive the feed?
It typically takes around 5 days to set up the feed. Xero will contact you to confirm when your feed will go live.

How often will the feed update my transaction data in Xero?
Once you’re set up, your transactions will appear in Xero every working day morning (Monday – Saturday) for as long as you want to receive them.

What about historical transactions?
Transactions from before you had the feed in place won’t be sent to Xero, you’ll need to input these manually.
