Cumberland Building Society announces £47,351 of donations to local good causes through Affinity account
Cumberland Building Society has donated more than £47,000 to a number of local organisations and community causes through its Affinity account, supporting organisations making a difference across Cumbria and the wider region.
The latest round of donations sees £47,351.47 shared between four organisations: Carlisle United, Eden Valley Hospice, Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland and Hospice at Home West Cumbria.
The donations are made possible through The Cumberland’s Affinity account, which enables customers to support a chosen organisation simply by holding their savings with the Society. The Cumberland makes a donation linked to the balances held in eligible Affinity accounts, meaning customers can help their chosen cause without giving up any of their own savings.
The latest donations include:
- Carlisle United Football Club – £5,638.54
- Eden Valley Hospice – £13,904.31
- Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland – £13,904.31
- Hospice at Home West Cumbria – £13,904.31
Together, the donations will provide valuable funding to organisations supporting local communities, patients and families, as well as helping Carlisle United continue its work both on and off the pitch.
