Rate Change Information

Following the Bank of England’s increase in base rate on 2 November, we will be changing rates on savings and mortgage accounts as follows

Savings accounts

We will be increasing rates on our variable rate savings accounts by up to 0.25%. These changes will take effect from 1 December 2017.

Copies of this leaflet are available on request from any of our local branches.

Mortgage accounts

We will be deferring changes to our Residential (owner-occupier) Standard Variable Rate until after Christmas, where we will reverse the changes made following the Bank Base Rate change in August 2016. This means that our Residential (owner-occupier) Standard Variable Rate will increase by 0.25% to 4.49%. We will write to our members with the details of what this means for them during December 2017, with changes effective from 1 January 2018. The Society’s Commercial Variable Base Rate, Buy-to-Let Standard and Holiday-Let Variable rates will remain unchanged.

Existing members with a mortgage product directly linked to the Bank Base Rate will see their rates increase by 0.25% from 1 December 2017 and we will write with details of what this means for them during November 2017.
